  • John Hair, P.E., P.ENg.

    PRESIDENT AND SENIOR CONSULTANT

    Mr. Hair founded JDH&A in 1987 and bears overall responsibility for the firm's operations. His design philosophy is practical and focuses on results. This philosophy is an outgrowth of his experience as an HDD contractor with Reading & Bates Horizontal Drilling Co., a leader in the early development of HDD methods. Mr. Hair is a 1974 graduate of Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. He holds an NCEES Record Certificate and is licensed to practice engineering in multiple jurisdictions.

  • Jeff Puckett, P.E.

    Vice-President and Engineering Manager

    Mr. Puckett joined JDH&A in 1994 and is responsible for the firm's engineering processes. In carrying out this responsibility he applies a meticulous attention to detail to ensure that the firm's deliverables meet, or exceed, client expectations. Mr. Puckett is a 1992 graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He holds an NCEES Record Certificate and is licensed to practice engineering in thirteen states.

  • Jeff Scholl, P.E.

    Vice-President and Engineering Manager

    Mr. Scholl joined JDH&A in 1997. He provides JDH&A with specific experience in the field of geotechnical exploration having started his career logging exploratory borings with a geotechnical engineering company. Aside from his professional training, he also brings a keen personal interest in geology, which is a valuable resource in evaluating and designing HDD installations. Mr. Scholl is a 1995 graduate of the University of Missouri at Rolla with a Bachelor of Science degree in Geological Engineering. He holds an NCEES Record Certificate and is licensed to practice engineering in ten states.


  • Dylan Bruntzel

    Project Manager

    Mr. Bruntzel joined JDH&A in 2006 after graduating from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. He has worked on most of the firm's key projects throughout North America. His experience in the design and installation of HDD crossings can only be described as extensive. He functions as a project manager within the firm with responsibility for delivering services that meet, or exceed, client expectations.

  • Kyle Nevins, P.E.

    Senior Project Engineer

    Mr. Nevins joined JDH&A in 2010 after spending two years working in general pipeline design. He is a 2008 graduate of Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He is licensed to practice engineering in the State of Oklahoma.

  • David Patonai, P.E.

    Senior Project Engineer

    Mr. Patonai joined JDH&A in 2012. He is a 2010 graduate of the University of Nevada in Las Vegas with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. Prior to joining JDH&A he was a member of an engineeering team supporting the operations of a United States Naval Reactor Facility in Idaho. Mr. Patonai has also served on active duty as a tank crewman in the United States Army National Guard. He is licensed to practice engineering in the State of Oklahoma.

  • Luke Bever

    Project Engineer

    Mr. Bever joined JDH&A in 2013 after graduating from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. He is certified as an Engineer Intern in the State of Oklahoma and is currently pursuing licensure as a Professional Engineer.

  • Austin Miller

    Project Engineer

    Mr. Miller joined JDH&A in 2014 after graduating from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. He is certified as an Engineer Intern in the State of Oklahoma and is currently pursuing licensure as a Professional Engineer.

  • Molly Thatcher

    Business Manager

    Ms. Thatcher joined JDH&A in 2011 and is primarily responsible for the firm's administrative functions. She also assists with marketing and business development. Ms. Thatcher is a 2003 graduate of La Salle University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Business Administration.
